Entrepreneurship and agro-ecological practices
Farming with agro-ecological principles means optimizing interaction between plants, animals, humans and the environment. By building synergies, agro-ecology can support food production and food and nutrition security, while restoring the ecosystem services and biodiversity that are essential for sustainable agriculture.
After having discovered farming with nature does not only lead to better quality products for people and planet, but also pays, young farmers from Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda only have one message to other young people: Don’t stay in the city, become an agrientrepreneur! The agricultural sector needs young people for bringing in the human resources, the brains and the new technologies.
